2007-2008 Quest for Gold Athlete Assistance Program
Ontario Card Nominations Announced!
Dive Ontario would like to thank and congratulate the talented athletes who have been nominated for Ontario Cards under the 2007-2008 Quest for Gold Ontario Athlete Assistance Program (OAAP). The athletes nominated were selected using the sport specific selection criteria developed by Dive Ontario approved by its Board of Directors and applied by the Dive Ontario Athlete Selection Committee.
Dive Ontario congratulates these athletes on their successful performances, and their nomination for Quest for Gold OAAP funding.

Eligibility Criteria For the Athlete Incentive Program
To be eligible for Performance Incentive funding in a given year, the Ontario athlete must compete at both of the following two meets:
1. Ontario Provincial Championship
2. Age Group Nationals or Senior Nationals (Winter or Summer)
Eligible athletes will have their best single placing from the National level competitions determine the Performance Incentive award for that year. Each year, the budget for Athletic Development will be awarded to athletes in the following order, until that year’s budget amount is fully awarded. [The table is to be read, and athlete’s awarded from top to bottom.]
- All Senior divers will be awarded first: All Top 3 athletes, then Top 6 athletes, then Top 12, then Top 18 as listed per the table below.
- With remaining funds, the Age Group divers will then be awarded: All Top 3 athletes will be awarded, then Top 6 athletes, then Top 12 as per below.
- The Technical Committee will review the order for payout of Performance incentives on a yearly basis.
- To be awarded funding for placing on 1M, the athlete must have also competed on 3M or Platform in that same event.

Note:
In the case of exceptional circumstances where an athlete is unable to attend the Provincial Championships, the athlete and coach must submit a letter to Dive Ontario, which outlines the circumstances. The Dive Ontario Executive will then decide whether the athlete will qualify for money awarded through the Athlete Incentive Program. A doctor’s note may be required.
